Rockbridge Arts Guild

ABOUT THE GUILD

The Guild was founded in January 1983.  Today it consists of  nearly 100 artists, artisans and supporters  who live in the Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County areas.

The Guild is a non-profit organization that provides support, education and exhibits for its members and the community and invites patrons of the arts and interested lay people to join as well as those actively working in their field.

Among the annual events sponsored by the Guild are:

  •  Judged  Spring and Fall Arts Fairs on Hopkins Green in Lexington's downtown historic district open to all
  • A judged  Art Exhibit  at the Rockbridge County Fair in July, open to all
  • Regular  meetings  centered around diverse programs pertinent to the arts that are open to the public
  • Active painting groups - Plein Air Painters which paint local scenes and the Life Drawing Group which uses live models
  • A Christmas Party and an annual reception for members and their families
