Pobai Hefelfinger


Born in Korea, 1924.  She was  schooled at Princeton High School, Princeton, N.J., Peace Preparatory School, N.C. and Agnes Scott College, Ga.  She has shown throughout the South - from Louisana to North Carolina, Virginia , and New York.

Her credits include one man shows at Roanoke Fine Arts Center 1973, at LSU, Shreveport, La. 1975, Mississippi Fine Arts Center, Jackson, Miss. 1975, Southwestern at Memphis, Tenn., Spaulding College, Louisville, Ky., 1975.

In 1983 she won the John Singleton Copely award in Boston, Ma.  In 1986 her painting "Breakfast with Grapefruit" toured with the Virginia Women Artists Show making her a charter member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts.  She died in 1998 in Harrisonburg, Va.
